Why I Am A Chef

Two years ago I couldn’t walk or use my right hand, lift my left arm or turn my head. I was crippled by immense pain and finally was diagnosed with a supposedly incurable auto-immune disease (Rheumatoid Arthritis). I was told that I would never be able to run again in my life, and my body would maybe be able to semi-function with daily doses of powerful drugs. I was dying! And I was 35, and I had two young children. I tried the drugs for a week, but there was hardly any change. After that anger and determination took over. I remember standing in my kitchen and figuratively stomping my foot (I couldn’t in real life because of the pain) and vowing that this will not be how the rest of my life will be like. I will heal no matter what!!! And not by covering up my symptoms with hardcore drugs but by healing my body from this disease. And I am proud to say: I did it!


I healed myself by engineering a powerful ‘new’ technology. You could call this technology ‘food’ or you could call it the code that optimizes our most valuable possession (our body) through one of our primary biological programming systems (eating). I think of it like this: Bill Gates would never write a code that ruins the computer systems that runs on it. That doesn’t make any business or common sense. So why then do we constantly happily allow our most valuable computer (our bodies) to be programmed with a destructive code? And why is it so difficult to find the technology that provides the body with a code that optimizes the programming system through food?


We need as many healthy, happy and smart brains as possible to come up with a huge amount of genius solutions to a veritable plethora of problems real fast. And that means we need to run on operating systems that create health so that the health inside can be mirrored on the outside.


Out of my journey back to health I became a chef out of necessity. If noone else is bringing this food into the world on a big scale then I will. This food gave me back my life and in return I will give this food to the world. I started working as a private chef and then created our meal delivery Catalyst Cuisine. I would have never thought I would be a chef and entrepeneeur and I keep learning that you never know what life has in store for you.
